Avenue Pub’s Crafty Hour has been changed- it is no longer in effect on the weekends, just Monday-Friday. Owner Polly Watts hints there might be other ways of blowing the kegs but that you need to be on the Pub’s email list to find out about it.  Are you on the Pub’s email list? You should be.

Abita just released an Imperial Red to benefit former New Orleans Saints player Steve Gleason’s foundation to help research a cure for ALS. From Abita’s Press release: “Twenty-five cents from each pint of the beer sold will benefit the Gleason Family Trust. In addition to helping offset the incremental costs of living with ALS, contributions to the Gleason Family Trust go towards Steve’s participation in advanced and experimental technology, equipment and treatments.” WTG, Abita!

Lagunitas coming to Louisiana, as semi-predicted (sort of) by The Beer Buddha.
